Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about supported platforms, overselling, duplicates, pricing, and the roadmap.
Which Lightspeed does Syncwright support?
Lightspeed Retail R-Series. Syncwright is built around R-Series specifics: its rate limits, its lack of webhooks, and its data model. Lightspeed X-Series support is on the roadmap.
How does it prevent overselling?
Lightspeed is the source of truth for inventory. Syncwright pushes accurate on-hand counts to Shopify continuously and reconciles on a schedule, so an in-store sale shows up online before the item can be oversold. See Inventory and no overselling.
Will it create duplicate products?
No. Items match on UPC to Shopify barcode with a manufacturer-SKU fallback and an ambiguity guard. If you are migrating from another tool, switcher reconciliation links your existing catalog instead of re-importing it.
Do I have to sync my whole catalog?
No. You choose which products, collections, and fields go live. Everything Syncwright suggests waits for your approval before it writes to Shopify. See Choose what to sync.
What does it cost?
$999, paid once. Every register and location is included, along with every future update and email support. There is no subscription and no renewal. Image enrichment is metered: your first 50 images are free, then $0.35 per sourced-and-cleaned image. See Pricing and buying.
Which direction does data flow?
Inventory flows from Lightspeed to Shopify. Catalog fields follow the sync policy you set. Orders placed on Shopify are pushed back to Lightspeed as sales.
Can I keep editing my products in Shopify?
Yes. Set the fields you merchandise in Shopify to ignore or fill if empty in your sync policy, and Syncwright will leave your work alone while still keeping inventory accurate.
Is my catalog going to look better?
That is the aim. Syncwright can source and clean images, group variants, and build collections. If you want a full merchandising pass, the Outside Projects team can take it from there.
What is on the roadmap?
Multi-location independent inventory, two-way returns and exchanges, and Lightspeed X-Series support. The What’s new page tracks what ships.
How do I get help?
Email help@syncwright.io. Syncwright is built and supported by Outside Projects.
