Connect Lightspeed and Shopify
Install from the private link we send you and authorize your Lightspeed Retail R-Series account. One guided setup, no retraining for your staff.
- Authorize Lightspeed R-Series and Shopify with OAuth
- Choose the Shopify location Syncwright writes stock to
- Staff keep ringing up sales exactly as they do now
Choose what to sync
Pick the products, collections, and fields you want live. Review the variant groups and collections Syncwright suggests, then approve the ones you like.
- Items match on UPC to barcode, with a manufacturer-SKU fallback
- Approve the variant groups and smart collections it proposes
- Set a per-field policy: ignore, fill-if-empty, or overwrite
Stay in step, automatically
Sell in-store or online, inventory, catalog, and orders stay accurate in both systems. Syncwright reconciles in the background and flags anything that needs you.
- Delta polling keeps on-hand counts honest between systems
- Scheduled reconciliation heals any drift on its own
- Anything ambiguous lands on a needs-attention list, not in a customer cart
// What stays in sync
Four things, always aligned.
Each one runs on its own policy, so you decide how much control to keep.
Inventory
On-hand counts flow from Lightspeed to Shopify continuously, with optional buffers so you can hold back safety stock.
→ Lightspeed → ShopifyCatalog
Titles, descriptions, images, and SEO fields, governed by a per-field policy so a blank register value never wipes good Shopify copy.
→ field-level policyOrders
Online orders push back into Lightspeed as sales, so your point-of-sale reporting and stock counts stay whole.
→ Shopify → LightspeedCollections
Your Lightspeed category and brand tree becomes Shopify smart collections you approve, with an optional hide-when-sold-out rule.
→ ls-cat:* → collection// The model
Two systems. One clear owner for each job.
Syncwright never guesses which side is right. Each system owns what it is good at, and the other follows. That single rule is what makes the whole thing predictable.
Lightspeed owns inventory
On-hand counts and stock movements are the truth here. When you sell on the floor, Shopify follows within the cycle, so the last one never sells twice.
→ quantities, buffersShopify owns merchandising
Titles, descriptions, images, and SEO are yours to craft. Syncwright respects them and is blank-safe: an empty register value never overwrites a real Shopify field.
→ titles, images, SEO// The safety net
R-Series has no webhooks.
So we built a net.
Lightspeed R-Series will not ping you when something changes, so most connectors fire once and hope. Syncwright polls on a delta cadence and then runs a scheduled reconciliation pass that compares both catalogs end to end. A change that slips through one cycle is caught by the next. Quantities never quietly drift.
