This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Syncwright. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the app.
Scope
Syncwright is a business tool for syncing a Lightspeed Retail R-Series account with a Shopify store you are authorized to operate. Use it for that purpose, in line with Shopify's and Lightspeed's terms and API rules, and within the law.
Prohibited uses
You agree that you will not:
- Use Syncwright for any unlawful purpose, or to process data you have no lawful basis to process;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the service, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or its APIs except through our vulnerability reporting channel;
- Abuse, overload, or interfere with the service or the Shopify and Lightspeed APIs, including by circumventing rate limits, buffers, or the reconciliation logic;
- Attempt to access, read, or interfere with another tenant's data or account, or any part of the system you are not authorized to use;
- Introduce malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure or credentials;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide Syncwright as a service to third parties without our written agreement;
- Misrepresent your identity or authority, or use the service to infringe another party's rights.
Fair use and rate limits
Syncwright runs on shared infrastructure and depends on third-party API quotas. Use of the service should be reasonable and consistent with normal retail operations. We may apply technical limits to protect the service and other merchants, and we ask that you do not deliberately work around them.
Consequences
If you violate this policy, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate your access, with or without notice depending on the severity and any risk to other merchants or to the platforms we depend on. Serious or unlawful abuse may be reported to the relevant authorities. Termination is handled as described in our Terms of Service.
